Step into lace knitting with the Yarn Queen as your guide! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the basics of reading lace charts, working yarn overs, and mastering decreases. Your swatch will showcase lace two ways, one side in stockinette lace and the other in garter lace, so you can see how stitch backgrounds transform the look of lacework. After blocking, your swatch folds neatly into a charming pouch, perfect for holding notions, treasures, or gifting.
In this 2 Day class is the perfect balance of skill-building and project-making: you’ll leave with new lace-knitting confidence, a finished pouch, and inspiration for bigger lace projects.
Day 1: We will create the lace swatch and finish it. We will wet block it and leave it to dry.
Day 2: We will use mattress stitch to sew it into a pouch cover and then sew it to the canvas pouch to create a fun new pouch to keep your tools in or use as a gift for someone you love!
