Shepherd's Mat

Thursday, March 19th - 5pm-8pm

Turn fleece into something timeless. In this class, you’ll learn how to create a durable, heirloom-quality braided matt using unspun wool roving. We’ll explore how different sheep breeds’ fibers behave in the braiding process, how to prepare and join roving, and how to form and finish a matt that celebrates the natural beauty of wool. Each participant will leave with the beginnings of their own Shepherd’s matt and the skills to continue larger projects at home. No spinning experience required — just a love for wool and making.
